To explore other aspects of Indian history and present life, we head to Jaipur. Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan, the largest Indian state, . Its treasures depict the royal extravagance and architectural marvels of the Rajput Era. You will visit the Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Naharhgarh Fort, and the Hawa Mahal. When in Jaipur, explore the local cuisine and the colorful Rajasthani handicrafts.
Our final destination will be Amritsar in Punjab. Amritsar is the city of the 16th century Gurudwara, the golden temple. This is the holy place for devotees, especially those belonging to the Sikh community. You can feel the spirituality in the ambiance of the place. The main structure is covered with gold with a holy pool around it. The community kitchen also symbolizes love and devotion for the almighty and mankind. Another attraction in Amritsar is the Atari-Wagah border. Here, a daily military parade and flag-hoisting ceremony take place on both sides of the India-Pakistan border.
